The Blighted Thrust was the name given to the offensive Iuz mounted against the Flanaess. He first attacked
Furyondy and maintained a siege that lasted for months. At the decisive Battle of Chendl, Iuz used his considerable power to sway the fates of a group of adventurers whom he had convinced/enslaved to help him. This was when Iuz's Despoilers were created as they slew the King of Furyondy where he stood.
When Chendl fell, the rest of Furyondy was quickly conquered. Iuz pushed into neighboring kingdoms, eliciting surrender or razing keeps as he went. It seemed that the whole of the Flanaess would be enslaved by Iuz.
